La Polite, M.Ed. is an Educator for the School District of Philadelphia, where she is a Special Education Teacher, servicing youth with specific learning disabilities and/or have been deemed having an emotional disturbance.
Ms. Polite has over 18 years of experience in Education, empowering fellow educators,
students, and parents. Ms. Polite places the ideology of success and achievement in their direct reach. In her presence, achievement levels are raised substantially; achievement levels, not only being defined as a score on a standardized test, but also defined as, the value of education being raised within a teacher, within the student, within the home.
Ms. Polite has dedicated time in social reform, bringing sustainable solutions to youth experiencing homelessness and other life challenges. She has been employed with HopePHL (formerly Youth Services, INC) for 5 years as a residential supervisor and Title One Educational Coordinator.
Ms. Polite has serviced hundreds of youth from different parts of Philadelphia, ensuring they are properly cared for and advocating for them to get the resources they need
despite the interruption having of a quality life.
Ms. Polite vows in creating a model foster care program, where youth are provided an opportunity to be productive citizens in the world around them.
Ms. Polite continues spreading this word daily throughout the City of Philadelphia… “Do you want the city to improve?” INVEST IN THE YOUTH!
